Role call!!

I saw a link for this site on The Craftster Blog that makes super cute custom avatars. It's called Abi Station Potrait Illustratoin Maker. So now I can finally do my super cheesy bios for the squad members! Hooray!

Avtanne
Anne. Knits like a champ. Enjoys hermit crab racing, long walks on the beach with BF Ray and cards with dirty pictures. (Like dogs peeing in the snow) Anne is the nice one.

Avteva
Eva. (prounounced Eee- Vuh) Our very own deer skinning, wood hiking wilderness guide. Eva likes her men like she likes her crafts, pleasing to the eye with a 90 percent chance of immediate satisfaction! RRRRow!!

Avtlauren_1
Lauren. This knitting newbie knows her way to the hot dog stand. Just cover her with relish and she'll be ALL YOURS!!

Avtmary_1
Mary. Not to quick on the uptake but a real humdinger on the lowdown. This Sally's a Jack of all trades when it comes to crafties.

Avtmichelle
Michelle. A lover in the driveway a menace on the road. Don't cut this mad dog mommy off if ya knows whats good for ya. She's libel to chain your intestines with her crochet hook.

Avtsarah
Sarah. Knows her shit when it comes to the knit. Knows all the names when it comes to the game. Sports and crafts collides when this Jet setting needle junky comes to town. LOCK UP YO YARN!!!

Let the baby sized projects begin!!

Julian1_3
Michelle has become the proud Mama of an 8.8 pound baby boy!! Julian Benjamin!! And oh is he ever ever cute!! Not slimy, wrinkly, splotchy or ugly in any way. As Michelle described, he is PERFECT. All of us Hat CIty Scissor Squadder's salute you!! The first Momma of the bunch. So... Who's next?!?! Place your best now ladies! LOL. Anyway I have created a blog for Michelle to keep pictures of her little cutie and I've taken the liberty of throwing the first bunch on. You can see more cute pictures here. And there will be MANY more to come, as long as there's no run on batteries on the next few years. :) So let the baby oriented crafting begin!! I can't wait to see what everybody comes up with.

SURPRISE!

Well, hello there!

Welcome to your Christmas present, Squadders! In your smart, orange folders you will find all the information you need to post your brilliant ideas and random thoughts right here on our very own domain name. :)

I'll maintain this sucker for all of us - just give a holler if you need help with anything.

My hope is that this will become our internet meeting area and a place we can compile all of our unique project ideas and patterns! I'll be working on adding 2 galleries - one for photos of our events and one for our patterns and projects.

Also, be sure to get that nifty questionnaire back to me ASAP! Mary and I are collaborating on a bio page which will highlight each member of the HCSS. How's that??? Fantastic, right?

I'll keep you posted on all of the big updates - Hope you all like the looks of our new home. :) We'll still use the Yahoo! group for correspondence, but these are the real digs. And once I learn a little more about how to run a bulletin board program.... well all I have to say is Yahoo! had better watch their ass! They might be short a Scissor Squad before they know it...

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

Sweet & Snippy

Our lovely yarnista Jennie recently started a knitting group at the middle school where she teaches on accounta she is just that nice! Our scissorinas have periodically dug through our extensive stashes and donated yarn and needles to Jennie's eager students so they could get off to a productive start.

A couple of weeks ago, Jennie showed up on a Tuesday night with a very sweet surprise for us! Her little knitters had made us a thank you card!

Isn't that just the bee's knees? Thanks to the Wallace Knitters for making our Tuesday night even nicer than usual. :) (Jennie, you rock!)
